The Black Prince Shoot 12th September 2010

Roving marks and Flight Shoot, Kent

Roving marks shoot given in honour of Edward of Woodstock 'The Black Prince' Prince of Wales. Edward was one of the greatest military leaders of his time, leading many campaigns the most famous of which led to the battle of Poitiers in 1356 and ultimately resulted in the signing of the Treaty of Bretigney in 1360. For those able to travel on the Saturday there will be a visit to Canterbury Cathedral, where Edward is laid to rest.

The shoot is open to all EWBS members only. First arrows will be at 10:30 and the morning shoot will consist of a roving marks. During lunch and BBQ will be laid on at a small cost to cover the expense.

The afternoon shoot will include a Standard and Livery arrow shoot plus a flight shoot.

Fee: £5 for just the shoot.
         £7 for the shoot and the BBQ

Proceeds to the Mary Rose Trust.

The Wye Valley Shoot

First Arrows: 10.30am
Shooting Fee: £10.00 per day

There is camping on-site (by the beautiful ruined Norman Chapel for those who know it) at £5 per person or £10 per tent, whatever is cheaper.
Shooting is £10 per day and you can come for one or two days. No bar or food so bring your own but there is a toilet/water.


The Fair Weekend Shoot Holland 2nd and 2rd October 2010
FAIRDAY? WHY NOT MAKE IT A WEEKEND?

With pride we announce: The Fairday will be a FAIRWEEKEND! At the ruin of Teylingen Holland.  Two days of archery competition, with camping.

On Saturday 2nd October we invite you to shoot the Fairday competition 30 crazy 3d targets with prizes to win!
Registering from 9.00, coffee and cake, at 10.00 of to the ranges!
We shoot with traditional bows and wooden arrows. Medieval points are allowed, so are HEAVY bows.

The competition continues on Sunday 3rd October with the Fairflight Shoot! The Fairflight is for everyone with a traditional bow and wooden arrows. Besides the flight there will be an EWBS Warbow Record status shoot, 2 Livery, 2 standard
and 2 quarterpounder arrows can be shot for the DUTCH RECORD to be entered into the Society Records

Registering at 10.30, and ready on the range at 11.30.
We will, depending on the number of participants, have a couple of draws of 6 arrows. The best 2 archers will be registered and the total of meters shot with all arrows will be added up.



For the DIE-HARDS: You can participate in both competitions and stay overnight at the location. We have some medieval tents that can be used, but you can also bring your own tent. We will make sure there's enough wood for the cooking-fires.
For the evening there will be something from the roast and we will enjoy the company of a band (www.teetotallers.nl)

Shooting fees: 15 Euro for the FAIRDAY, 10 Euro for the flight.

As always food and drink will be available during the FAIRDAY. During the Flight food and drinks can be bought. (yes, you can get an English Breakfast).

By registering early you will receive the FAIRBOW T-SHIRT (limited edition) so be sure you enlist in time, so that there will be enough t-shirts for all.
